88 Glam Pays Homage to Toronto in “Big Tymers”

XO’s music duo 88Glam released the visuals for Big Tymers, a cut off of their self-titled debut project. The video premiered on Paper Magazine and has been met with rave reviews.

Big Tymers was directed by R.J. Sanchez and the song itself was produced by Joseph L’Étranger. Several neighbourhoods across Toronto briefly appear including Jane and Finch and Scarborough. The music video really captures the essence of the song, which is the come up of both artists and how they made it to where they are now. According to Paper Magazine, the duo was quoted as saying:

” The line ‘Broke up with the old me, yeah, I had to glo up’ really sums up what the song and video are all about. We’ve overcome the odds and come so far this year with the project and its success and ‘Big Tymers’ allows us to look back at the journey of the past year. To do the video justice we had to go back to significant areas in our life and show the world another side of us.”

They definitely accomplished what they set out to do with this video. It was powerful and authentic.
