Daniel Caesar Delivers Visuals for Freudian (Video)

Shortly after it was announced that Daniel Caesar has been nominated for two Grammy awards, he released the visuals for the title track off of his album Freudian. Daniel is competing for the Best R&B Album of the Year and the Best R&B Performance for his song “Get You” featuring Kali Uchis.

The video for “Freudian” starts with just Daniel’s eyes, connecting the audience to him and the music instantaneously. It continues on with a split screen, showing a distraught Caesar on one side and a happier version of himself surrounded by women on the other.

Halfway through, the visuals are paused while a quote from Dr. Ernest Jones, a colleague of Sigmund Freud’s, is played. The video then cuts to a road, where the final scene takes place.
