Drake (Finally) Releases More Life

After months of speculation and rumours of potential release dates, Drake finally released his highly anticipated “playlist project” ‘More Life. It premiered on Apple Music’s OVO Sound Radio show. The project contains 22 songs and includes guest features from British artists Giggs and Skepta. 2 Chainz, Young Thug, Quavo, Travis Scott, PartyNextDoor, Kanye West, Black Coffee and Jorja Smith appears as well.

It’s surprising to see Kanye featured, especially after the comments Drake recently made on OVO Sound about him, but it’s definitely a welcome addition. There were rumours of ¬†collaborations with The Weeknd and Bryson Tiller, but they were noticeably absent from ‘More Life’.

However, it’s definitely a quality project that has lived up to the hype. From early on you could see Drake showing why he’s at the top of the game, and it even has a dancehall inspired vibe to it. ‘More Life’ is a project Drake fans will appreciate.

It’s roughly been less than a year since he released ‘Views’, and after the historic run that album had Drake is ready to recreate that with ‘More Life’. It’s slated to be a billboard success, so I guess after going for summer sixteen, he’s after summer seventeen as well.

You could stream the playlist on Apple Music and Spotify. What are your early thoughts on ‘More Life’? Has it lived up to the hype?
