This Toronto artist named Savvage has just hopped on our radar with this dope video for his song called Catch A Break. We’re in a time in hip-hop were being low-key is the new trend. Everyone wants to get as big as possible by saying and showing as little as they can. Artists like The Weeknd, and PARTYNEXTDOOR were some pioneers in this era of mysterious artists. Now we have rappers like Nav, or singers like Lais who take influence from how these artists marketed themselves. The song is real smooth and the flow throughout the track is on point. In the video Savvage wears a mask and shows no face throughout the full visuals. There’s a few cuts of the artist scratching out some of Toronto hip-hop and R&B’s biggest names off a list. The end of the video has an audio skit of a Tony Montana scene and Savvage burning an OVO painting. Looks like this new Toronto artist is trying to make a statement. What do you think?
